Property TAX Online payment
You can now pay your first half of property taxes online for the Town of Argonne. There are a few options for payment on the link. A few tips for paying,: When searching for your parcel, either use the full parcel number and only search under that. If searching under name, be sure that it is the exact name on the tax bill. If it is a trust be sure to just start with beginning name. Always remember to only fill out one search area. If paying partial payment, it will give you the full amount at first but once you get in you do have the option to make the 1st installment. Notice is hereby given to all taxpayers with property in the Town of Argonne. The first installment of the 2025 Taxes is due to the Town of Argonne by January 31, 2026.
They must be postmarked by that date, or the Entire taxes will be considered delinquent.
If you want a receipt, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.
If paying in person, below are the dates and times the office (at Argonne Town Hall) will be open for tax collection:
Friday, December 19, 2025, 8:00am-12:00pm
Monday, December 29, 2025, 3:00pm-6:00pm
Friday, January 16, 2026, 8:00am-12:00pm
Thursday, January 29, 2026, 3:00pm-6:00pm
Please pay with check, or money order payable to the Town Treasurer-Christie Schmidt, 8050 Schmidt Ln, Argonne WI 54511. If you are stopping in to pay at town Hall with cash, it must be the exact amount. No in person credit/debit card payments, those tax payments must be paid online.
Lockbox payments: Payments with tax bill can be dropped in the lockbox on the left side of the front door at Town Hall in the black lockbox. Last payment taken from that lockbox will be
January 31, 2026.
Online tax payments can be remitted on our website at https://argonnewi.gov. Select the “More” tab at top to right and then select “Tax Collection”.
NEW WASTE DISPOSAL FEES:
(Can be purchased at tax time but must be a separate payment)
All Town of Argonne Taxpayers must have a dump pass or buy bags for all non-recyclable disposal to utilize the town dump. Garbage going into the designated dumpster must be inspected by dump attendants prior to disposal and will be charged as follows:
o Option 1: $75.00 - purchase an annual sticker to be visible on your windshield or dash which can be effective January 1st – December 31st. You will not need to use Town of Argonne bags with this option. All stickers expire 12/31 of each year and taxpayers can purchase passes with a separate check to town treasurer.
o Option 2: $2.00 - purchase Town of Argonne bags at dump as currently required.
